At present, we adopt 2 operation flows in the manufacture of orthotic
insoles, based on thepractitionersĄŻ preference in the casting method:
|
 |
Traditional way
of casting |
 |
 |
Computerized
casting method |
 |
| |
Eye-Scan
In order for in phase with the new trend of Orthotic insole fabrication
development,
we recommend a new casting method. It is called Eye-Scan. The Eye-Scan
procedure
is shown below:

Step 2: Cast
modification
After the foot shape is captured, the digitized data will
be transmitted through internet to our computer in our workshop
for modification.
|
 |
Step 3: Cast
Milling
When the foot image raw data is modified via our cast modification
software, the finished foot shape data will be digitized and
send to milling machine. The machine receives the data and
milling starts. |
 |
Step 4: Insole fabrication
When we obtain the wooden cast, we will fabricate theinsole
using traditional method (vacuum forming, grinding, top cover
finishing and packing).
|
 |
Step 5: Send back to clients
The orthotic insoles will be sent back to our clients through
logistics.
|
 |
The greatest benefits from this
casting method are:
1. It saves much time in the casting process (actually it takes
about 5 seconds per foot!)
2. The casting procedure is very simple to practitioners and
convenient to patients (not need
to wash their feet after casting)
3. Most important, it does provide a high accuracy in capturing
the patientsĄŻ feet shape.
